The opening was fun! The show is beautiful! I was so happy to see some dear old friends, who made the trip down to the South Bay from the Palisades and Cheviot Hills. Thank you — it means a lot to me!
This Saturday, May 21, 2:00 p.m. at the Manhattan Beach Creative Art Center, Ruth Trotter, who curated this show, will be doing a critique of the work. I always learn so much when I attend events like this, and I will be there taking notes.
Right after that, at 4:00 p.m., fellow RBAG member Bob Mackie will be doing a demo at Cannery Row Studios, where he has a wonderful solo show. His cloisonne work is gorgeous, and I can’t wait to see how he does it.
I invite you to join me at these two events — Come be inspired!
Opening reception Saturday May 14, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
They are hanging the show today, and it will be beautiful — We are all so excited!
This video was made at the Foundation for Local Art event last fall, in which I speak briefly about my Bertha Series. My colleagues Edwina Klein and Marlene Sanaye Yamada also spoke at that event, and their videos play right after mine.
I will be showing some paintings at this event next Sunday. Stop by for a fun afternoon! I’d love to see you.

I was invited to paint live, at the side the track of the Redondo Beach Relay for Life, to entertain people who walk laps to raise money for the American Cancer Society. It was really fun!
I’ll be painting live at the Relay for Life event, 815 Knob Hill, Redondo Beach, Sat 7/17, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Come see what I’m up to!
